The World Baseball Classic is a clash of international baseball organizations but it also serves as proof that all of the talent in the baseball world may not be located in the MLB with other domestic leagues populating very good teams.

The second round of the WBC has gone through the halfway point with Pool 1 finishing off the Asian leg of the tournament. In the end two teams would survive and earn a trip to California for the semi-finals and a 1 in four chance at the WBC Championship. Pool 1 would simply continue the trend that has been set for this tournament with the unexpected around every corner.

The World Baseball Classic got underway this past week as the Asian pools began their tournament and their quest for the WBC title. Pool A and Pool B were in need of a very different schedule than the other pools in the tournament. With game staking place in Japan and Taiwan these two pools needed time to adjust when they eventually move to the USA.
