The UFC Light Heavyweight division has been one of the most competitive divisions in the UFC with nobody holding the title for very long. In a promotion that seems to have a dominant champion at almost every weight class the Light Heavyweight continued to be one of the more difficult divisions to dominate. Then came Jon Jones representing the new breed of fighter in the UFC and looking to become the most dominant Light Heavyweight Champion in UFC history.

Disappointing Night for Calgary (UFC 149 Review)

The UFC made their first trip to Calgary this weekend as they held UFC 149 in the Saddledome bringing another fight to the Canadian fans. For many though the card was a shadow of its former self with injuries changing almost every fight in the card. In some last second problem solving by the UFC fights were rescheduled and rematched to put together a pretty good card.

The UFC has continued to grow in the sports world but along with their growth has come a strange trend. Injuries have continued to pile up in the UFC and have begun to wreak havoc on fight cards. Injuries have always been a part of every sport including the UFC but it seems more and more that injuries have taken hold of the championship.

UFC 137 Preview

The artist who makes the fight posters was busy over the last few months and not only because there were a lot of fights. There was a stretch of 4 fights at the beginning of the month and there will be another stretch of 4 events starting with UFC 137. This was the least of the artist’s worries as the poster for UFC 137 took enough work with the fight changing three times.
