The CFL season is finished and the road to the Grey Cup has begun as once again the last week of the CFL season has come and gone. It was not an extremely interesting last week of the season with every team clinching their spots. For some teams it was time to get that last adjustment in without risk of losing any ground. Other teams it was a chance to see what they have going into the offseason as the last game of the year would act almost as a last second tryout.

The 2012 CFL season was a very important one for the league, the fans, and the players as it marked the 100th time that the Grey Cup would be handed out. It was important because it was a chance for the CFL to show the great history that they have in the league. It would all culminate in the 100th Grey Cup that would be held in Toronto where the 1st Grey Cup was handed out.

The historical season for the CFL came to a close with the 100th Grey Cup in the place where it all started. In 1909 Rosedale Field in Toronto hosted the first ever Grey Cup championship where the University of Toronto Varsity Blues beat the Toronto Parkdale Canoe Club to earn the first Grey Cup. After over 103 years, with a few years off during the First World War, and the Grey Cup would return to Toronto for the 100th edition. The game would feature two very unlikely teams after a very unpredictable season.

The time has finally come after an entire year of talking about it the biggest Grey Cup game ever. It is the one game that everyone has been working up to since last year in BC as it has become one of the most important events in CFL history. The 100th Grey Cup is more than just another game for the CFL as there is a lot more at stake for the league. It is not a do or die type of game clearly as the league has never been stronger.

The CFL regular season is over and it was time for the first round of the playoffs as the conference semi-finals. With only two games until the Grey Cup the pressure was on everyone as they were only two wins away from the biggest game of the year. Every team in the playoffs had some tough decisions to make about who they would start in the next game.

The CFL season is finally finished as two teams look to 2013 and six teams look to the coming weeks to enter the history books. This year the playoffs will mean that much more as teams have a chance to win the 100th Grey Cup. It will be a great playoff season and a legendary Grey Cup that will go down as one of the biggest no matter who is in it.
