The age wars continue throughout every league as the young generation continues to rise and the older players begin to find themselves on the outskirts as the one holdover in trying to prove of life over 40 doesn’t seem to be in it for much longer.

Sochi 2014 Olympic Update (Day 8)

Day 8 is over in the Olympics and the games have reached their halfway point with 8 more days until the focus of the sports world leaves Sochi. It has been a great games by all accounts so far with many of the worries before the games not making any big stories during the games. It was to be expected though as the reports of terrible accommodations and the issues in Russia itself have given way to the games and the athletes. It is one of the only sure things in the Olympics as there are always a number of issues that become the talk of the Olympics before the game begin.

2012 was another great year in sports with plenty going on for everyone to enjoy and great stories around every corner. There was plenty to talk about throughout the sports world with great performances and inspirational performances. It wasn’t only limited to the USA or to Europe though as Canada had a very interesting year in sports.
