CFL players are a unique breed as they are not necessarily the prototypical football players that many would think of when building a team. It is widely known that many players use the CFL to help launch or relaunch their careers. It is a place for those players who never could quite make it to the NFL to continue to play the game they love. As a result the CFL gets to enjoy a number of great players that do not fit into any box.

The CFL loves to reward those players who will give everything that they can for their team and for the league. The players that can stand out among above the rest who stand out as a player that can lead their team to championships are those that become favorites of the fans and the league. These players have something that not many do as they stand out in their team as true leaders.

The offensive lineman is a rare breed in football as they are the men who fight in the trenches one every down. It is a tough and an important job as lineman hit someone on every single down that they play in their careers. There are no downs off for offensive lineman as they may not suffer the major blow that a wide receiver or a running back suffers when they get hit but they suffer smaller blows more often.

The Canadian Football Hall of Fame is a place where people that have had an impact on the sport in Canada can be honoured. The hall of fame looks to be a place where people can go to look at those who created and built the sport at every level. It could be someone in the CIS or someone in the professional ranks, CFL or NFL. Sometimes it can look to a person who has had their impact on many levels and other times it can go down to simply someone who focused on one aspect of the league.

In every sport there is one type of person who will never be right and will also never be wrong as they get the boos and cheers from fans on either side of the game. The umpire, referee, or judge is a massive part of sports. They enforce the rules and make calls that can change the face of a game in an instant. They hold this power in their hands and for teams that calls work against they become enemies while for teams calls work for they become heroes.

The status of football in Canada has grown in leaps and bounds over the last few years with more and more players moving to the NFL. These players are lucky to be living in a time were Canada is a place to look for emerging talent. It was not always like that though as the teams in the USA would not consider Canada a place to find talent.
