The AL West may not have the same history as their NL counterparts but a rivalry is forming and it could once again define the race in the division.

The American League West seemed to be headed towards being the most consistent division in the MLB but that has all fallen apart.

The American League East has long been considered the best division in baseball as they have regularly seen teams at the top of the league. The division contains some of the most legendary teams in the MLB and every year they seem to be on top of the league. That can make it extremely difficult for teams to make a run at the top of the division. With the New York Yankees and Boston Red Sox constantly winning the division the other teams find it hard to break through and win.

The sports world has seen a change in the players that step on the field or the ice or the diamond. The old way of doing things was always about bringing in experienced or older players because that is the way you won games. It was all about getting players who have been there before and who have experienced everything to experience in the sport. Young players were not as valued as they needed a lot more time to develop and become a good player in the pros.

Baseball has always been a bit of a controversial sport among the broader sports world as it has gained a reputation for being a lazy sport. With players sometimes overweight and the slow speed of the game baseball has sometimes been seen as a sport on the fringes. It is sometimes considered outside of the big four sports, football, basketball, hockey, for the lack of intensity in many players.

The Toronto Blue Jays are a part of what has become known as the worst sport city in the world and are a major contributor to that. The Blue Jays have been out of the playoffs since 1993 which was the last World Series they won. Now of course this is nowhere near some of the streaks that stand in the MLB like the 103 seasons that the Chicago Cubs have gone without a World Series. The Jays are now at 17 seasons but it doesn’t help that in Toronto if you don’t win you will get overshadowed by the Toronto Maple Leafs.
