NCAA Football Report (Week 5)

There are four weeks left before the College Football Playoff rankings are officially released but the committee may take this week into some serious consideration.

NCAA Football Report (Week 1)

Another season is underway in the NCAA as schools got their New Year’s underway with many looking toward New Year’s Eve as their goal.

NCAA Football Report (Week 9)

It is that time of year as the college teams wait patiently to find out where they truly stand on the national stage. With only 7 weeks left in the regular season the playoff is fast approaching for the first time ever. The College Football Playoff is the biggest story of the year as for the first time ever the champion will be determined through a playoff. The top four teams in the final rankings will enter into a two round playoff where major bowls will serve as the semi-finals and the National Championship Game will determine the next College Football champion.

NCAA Football Report (Week 5)

The NCAA Football season marches on into October where games get more important with the playoff rankings around the corner. On October 28th the first ever playoff rankings will be released meaning that teams have four more weeks to make an impression and at least put themselves in the running for a playoff spot. That doesn’t necessarily mean that teams will need to earn a top 4 spot as it only really means they have to put themselves in a position to get in the top four at the end of the season. As October arrives teams look to the heart of their season as the first month for many of the top teams was full of good but not great teams.

NCAA Football Report (Week 4)

Once again the sports world is under a microscope and it never seems to come to an end with leagues continuing to deal with off-field issues. The MLB had their issues with Ron Washington while the NFL continues to put out fires constantly. The NCAA is no stranger to controversy as they have been one of the leagues that has dealt with more controversy than most. They have seemingly never seen an end to this controversy with boosters providing illegal compensation and players getting into trouble.

NCAA Football Report (Week 2)

The landscape of college football is changing and much like in Week 1 of the NCAA season the changes were expressed in a big way. In the first week of the season changes to schedules were shown with many teams looking to make an impression in their first game of the season. Instead of the walk through games that are usually in the first week there were big matchups for many teams. In Week 2 another schedule change was shown and for some it is a serious issue in the league.

NCAA Football Report (Week 8)

It has been said time and time again when talking about the NCAA as the Southeastern Conference has been considered the best conference in the league. Every year it seems that SEC teams are all at the top of the heap when the BCS rankings come out. The Alabama Crimson Tide have been the class of the conference and the NCAA over the last four years winning three National Championships in the last four years. Despite all of the success for the conference a disturbing trend is beginning to surface for the conference.

NCAA Football Report (Week 7)

The NCAA season has not seen a lot of changes as the schedules have been unimpressive and the upsets have been few and far between. The beginning of the season would see the best teams in the nation take on teams that were far from the rankings. The results were predictable as the top teams would put up massive points against the teams and have remained the same in the rankings for the entire season.

NCAA Football Report (Week 6)

The week in the NCAA would not provide much in the way of excitement as many of the games would once again be boring. The top teams continued to easily win their games and the shuffling of the top 5 in the AP Top 25 would once again stay the same. The season continues to move on and the top teams continue to move along through easy opponents. It has not been the best season for the NCAA with upsets coming few and far between this year.

NCAA Football Report (Week 5)

The NCAA Football season so far has been somewhat boring as almost everything that was supposed to happen has. There have been upsets but no upsets that have changed the face of the National Championship picture. The rankings have remained fairly unchanged for the last three weeks and the matchups week to week have not got many people excited. There is still plenty of times for the big games this year as the season moves on and the games get more important but for now it has not been very exciting.
