The AFC North had an off year in 2015 with less of a battle than usual but expect that to change in 2016 with more teams looking to challenge for the division title.

As the season begins to close out three teams may be playing their last games in their respective cities with a move to Los Angeles seemingly inevitable for at least one of them.

It wasn’t so long ago that the AFC North was one of the most dominant divisions in the NFL and one of the most difficult to break through. The Pittsburgh Steelers and Baltimore Ravens ruled the North winning 9 of 11 division titles since the creation of the AFC North division in 2002. There was rarely a year where Pittsburgh or Baltimore were not favourites to make the playoffs and many times they were favourites to win the Super Bowl, and made good on that prediction.

The AFC North is on the same type of path as the NFC West except they are a step ahead as they are the toughest division in football. Most good divisions have two good teams while the other two struggle. This continues on year after year as teams fall and team rise there always seem to be two good and two bad teams. That is not true in the AFC North as they have gone from a typical division to the toughest. There are not only two teams that can win this division but instead there are three teams with another on their way up.

The NFL Regular Season is officially over as teams begin to prepare for either a long offseason or for the playoffs. The NFL playoffs are one of the best times of the year for sports fans in general because it is the height of drama in sports. There are no series in the NFL playoffs as every game is do or die for both teams. It is one of the most nerve racking times of the year for fans and the most stressful for players.

The quarterback is one of the most important positions on a football team and teams are always looking for the next best one. As I have said before there are a number of QBs looking good right now including two rookie QBs in Cincinnati and Carolina. Andy Dalton and Cam Newton have done great right now and are helping their teams to recover from some bad years in the two cities. There are also the other young QBs that have not made as big an impression but have just begun playing taking over some bad situations.

The NFL Has reached the midway point of the season and it has been a busy half with plenty of things to keep any NFL fan busy. No matter what team you are a fan of there has been a story surrounding them and the second half looks to be more exciting with teams preparing for playoff runs. Meanwhile teams are preparing for the rest of the season in many different ways.
