The last week of the season may not have had a lot of important games but there was plenty to fight for including the rushing title.

The CFL continues to surprise time and time again as teams continue to rise and fall as the season is just getting started. There is always one thing that most seasons will see in the CFL though as the passing game is truly something special. It is the real passing league in North America as 4,000 yard passing seasons are more the benchmark than the exception.

The CFL is a league that rarely sees much big controversy off of the field with suspensions rarely handed out and with players rarely getting into much trouble. There are always fines and bad behaviour as the sport of football just lends itself to this type of intensity. Despite these minor incidents the league is generally well behaved as the controversy of many leagues and the suspensions handed out tends not to be a major issue.

The CFL Season is through two weeks but the major talk is still centered around one big theme in the first week of the season. This big theme was the utter dominance of the Western Division over the Eastern Division in week 1. The preseason talk was all about how good the Eastern Conference looked so much better in 2012.

The 99th Grey Cup was full of great storylines that made the matchup one of two teams that made comebacks to get to the big game. The B.C. Lions were not the best team last year as they made the playoffs but they were also very disappointing team. This year the disappointment continued with the Lions losing their first 5 games of the year as they looked to fall into the bottom of the league this year.
