The Spider Returns in Vegas (UFC 183 Review)

UFC 183 was the chance for everyone to see the return of Anderson Silva and, to a lesser extent, the return of Nick Diaz. Both men had been out of the octagon for over a year, albeit for much different reasons. Silva was coming off of a broken leg that forced him out for just over a year while Diaz had decided not to return to the UFC unless he was able to get a big name fight. A number of weight divisions would see their champions solidify their spot in 2012 and there did not seem to be much change coming.

The Legend Falls (UFC 162 Review)

Everything comes to an end but Anderson Silva’s reign as UFC Middleweight Champion seemed to only be coming to an end on his terms. Silva had not lost in his entire time in the UFC which included a record 10 Middleweight title defences. Silva had a 16-0 record in the UFC and would quickly become the best fighter to ever step into the octagon.

The greatest fighter to ever step into the octagon is constantly doubted with almost every challenger that steps in to the octagon with him. With every challenger come the questions over whether or not this is the time Anderson Silva will fall.
