The American League was once the most dominant division in the sports but that era is over but that doesn’t mean that these teams aren’t still putting in some great performances as they look to do the same in 2017.

The American League East has always been the toughest division in the MLB but that title is quickly falling away.

The American League East has long been considered the best division in baseball as they have regularly seen teams at the top of the league. The division contains some of the most legendary teams in the MLB and every year they seem to be on top of the league. That can make it extremely difficult for teams to make a run at the top of the division. With the New York Yankees and Boston Red Sox constantly winning the division the other teams find it hard to break through and win.

The American League East has always been one of the best divisions in the MLB with multiple teams regularly making the playoffs. It seemed for the longest time that the wild card team would always be the runner-up in the AL East. The winner would also be a favorite to win the World Series every year. It became the toughest division in baseball with great teams all fighting for a spot in the playoffs and a few falling through the cracks.

With two and a half months gone in the 2012 season the MLB is beginning to even out now as the league begins to really take shape. The MLB is a long season and that means that there will be a lot of up and downs for teams. With 162 games a year losing or winning in the first few months means little unless you can extend that into the middle of the season.

I have said time and time again that the MLB is the most stubborn unchangeable leagues in North America. The MLB is not a fan of change as they have fought against changing many parts of the game in order to preserve their connection to history. One of the biggest issues in the MLB is the fact that they refuse to change the aspect of human error.
