The Championship Series are about to get underway and the National League and American League will see two very different story lines as four teams look to get to the World Series.

The Cleveland Indians are the first team in and they only have four wins to win their first title in 67 years and continue and unbelievable year by a city normally known for their failures in sport.

MLB Week in Review (October 11-17)

The MLB postseason is winding down as the World Series teams have been determined and the final series of the season gets underway next week. As the end gets closer the MLB may have just been through one of the best postseasons in recent history. It may not be that way when someone just looks at the series on paper with no series going over 5 games yet. Looking at it from the records a one it seems as though the teams are running through the postseason.

MLB Week in Review (October 12-18)

The MLB Postseason is creeping closer to the end as the World Series Championships are right around the corner. One team already punched their ticket as the experienced St. Louis Cardinals are back and ready for another title. The Cards are back in the World Series for the second time in 4 years as they look to continue to the dominance of two teams in the MLB. Only two teams have won the World Series in the last three years as the San Francisco Giants and St. Louis Cardinals.

MLB Week in Review (October 13-19)

The MLB is another step closer to the World Series as the Championship Series reach the end and determine who the two teams will be in the World Series. With only four teams left in the postseason there were many looking forward to the stories that would come out. Could the Tigers get past the always powerful and dangerous New York Yankees.

MLB Week in Review (October 6-12)

The Division Series have now been decided as the postseason stable has been cut in half in the pursuit of the World Series. After the MLB saw their big experiment in the Wild Card Games take place they were hoping to continue the excitement. The Wild Card Games were good with the first single elimination games provided great play and plenty of drama.

What 2 Watch (Oct. 14-16)

The sports month continues as October marches on with a number of different sports to watch although no UFC this week. There is still Baseball playoffs to watch as four teams finish off the Championship Series in an attempt to make it into the World Series. Of course football is still around with the CFL and CIS nearing the end of their season and looking to finalize their playoff standing.

W2W: Thanksgiving Edition (Oct. 7-10)

Happy Thanksgiving weekend to all of us Canadians this weekend and what better way to spend the long weekend than with four days of sports. The Biggest aspect of this long weekend is the opening weekend of the NHL season as all of the favorite teams will be in action. Whether you are a fan of the Leafs or the Kings your game will be seen at some point. It is not only hockey this weekend however as the month of sports continues. The Baseball playoffs will finish the first round and enter the second round this weekend as they progress to the World Series.

MLB Postseason Preview

The MLB Postseason has essentially already begun with the last day of the season seeing four teams playing for their chance at the Wild Card Spot. The Boston Red Sox lost a 9 game lead in their AL Wild Card race that was one in true comeback fashion by the Tampa Bay Rays. The same happened in the NL with the Atlanta Braves losing an 8 ½ game lead in their wild card race to the St. Louis Cardinals. With these four teams fighting it out to the end the there were another six teams sitting back, for the most part, and watching it play out as the division winners had clinched much earlier.
