The NFL continued their playoffs as the Divisional Round took place this past week with some surprises but above all the proof of an old saying. The old saying is the “Defence Wins Championships” and it had seriously been challenged this year. The challengers were the Green Bay Packers and the New England Patriots who ranked 32nd and 31st respectively in total defence.

The NFL began another march towards the Lombardi Trophy as the Wild Card weekend kicked off the 2012 playoffs. Wild Card weekend can be some of the best football that you see all year with plenty of upset potential. Teams that just made it into the playoffs take on the division winners as the home vs. away theory is tested.

The Playoffs are here and it is time for the best part of the year with any team able to win the big game. The NFL Postseason is one of the most unpredictable postseasons in pro sports and that is because of one reason. The Playoff system in the NFL is essentially a single elimination tournament that will end with one team raising the Vince Lombardi Trophy.
