When fans sit down to watch the Olympics there are not always the popular sports to watch forcing many people to watch sports that they may never watch. This is one of the greatest parts of the Olympics as sports fans are exposed to all types of sports that are jot among the usual program. In North America sports are ruled by the big four meaning that the NFL, MLB, NHL, and NBA dominate the sports columns and the airwaves.

The Olympics are always about the purity of sport and the amazing athletes that compete but no sports fan can help to make it a competition between countries. As people represent their countries in the biggest sporting event in the world the natural competition is between the athletes. In each competition these athletes represent their country and not only in that sport but for the entire Olympics.

The Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics were a watershed moment for Canada as one country came together like never before. Canadians have never been a brash people who flaunt their successes in the faces of everyone else.

The Boating category in the Olympics is self explanatory as it involves any sport with a boat or ship and an athlete. The boating events are simply about the marriage of an athlete and their equipment. There are a number of different sports in this grouping some are about the short distance and pure power while others are about the stamina and wherewithal to perform over a long period of time.
