Home Ice and Advantage? (2015 World Juniors)
The Finns did not necessarily take home the title on home ice last year but it was close enough as they took home the gold in Sweden. Next year they will get the chance to win on home ice when the tournament goes to Helsinki. Before they get the chance to win on home ice the Canadians will get the chance as Montreal and Toronto. They are once again a team that on paper seems to have almost everything to win gold at home.
Rivals Looking to play Spoiler in Toronto (2015 World Juniors)
Toronto will be the host to the biggest games of the tournament this year as they are the home to the medal round. Before that though, they play host to one of the biggest rivals of the home country in Russia. Not all too long ago the Russians were beaten at home in the Olympic Games when the Canadians took home gold in Sochi. Now the junior team looks to get back at their longest rivals by taking home the gold medal in one of the biggest tournaments for Canadians in Canada.
Pressure is on for the Hosts (2015 World Juniors)
Montreal will have a massive magnifying glass on it throughout the first round of the tournament. That is all thanks to the fact that Canada will spend the entire first round of the tournament along with the rest of Group A. Thanks to Canada the other teams in the group will all be put under the microscope as they have the unique challenge of beating one of the best teams in the tournament on their home ice.
